Want to know what examiners are actually looking for?
Understanding their mindset changes everything about how you answer.
๐ง 1. Examiners Reward Clarity, Not Complexity
Short, structured answers with keywords beat long, confusing essays.
Write like you're teaching, not performing.
๐งพ 2. They Look for Command Terms
Every question hides an instruction:
- "Define" = recall facts
- "Explain" = cause + effect
- "Evaluate" = pros, cons, conclusion
Using these correctly can bump you an entire grade boundary.
๐ 3. They Want You to Show Understanding, Not Memorization
Add reasoning:
Instead of "Inflation rises when demand increases," say "because producers raise prices to match higher spending power."
๐งฉ 4. They Notice Structure
Paragraphs should follow PEEL: Point โ Evidence โ Explanation โ Link.
Markers love organized writing.
